( Rules and Settings are subject to change without notice per League Commissioner ) Updated 10/11/10 5:14AM CST
League Requirements:
Scoring System & Standings - The MRL standings will be based on the following points system:
Playoff games can not end in a tie. If both teams fail to score during the default OT quarter, then a new game must start. Same rules apply first to score wins.
Communication -Every attempt to contact an opponent MUST be TWEETED for Commissioner awareness and monitoring purposes. Being accessable for team to team communication is very important especially for game scheduling purposes with your weekly opponent. We ask every team owner to follow this rule in a responsible and dependable manner. Click Here to Link your phone to Twitter, send and receive tweets just like a text message.
Game Scheduling -Both teams are REQUIRED to set up a game time and date with their opponent through TWITTER for monitoring puposes. Every team will have a 6 day period to play 2 scheduled games. After that, the league advances to the following week. (12am central cut off time on the 6th Night) Mondays are open days, you are given the chance to play a game from the week before or play your next scheduled game.
Lame Duck Rule - Any member who fails to play in 3 games can be booted and have the rest of his games forfeited for the season.
Connection Issues - Any game that is disconnected after the first quarter will resume with the score and the possession exactly where it left off. Both players are to tweet the score and possession and start a new game but only play to halftime. If a game is disconnected in the 4th quarter the restarted game will only have 1 quarter played. (EVERY CONNECTION LOSS DURING A GAME MUST BE TWEETED BY BOTH TEAMS WITH THE EXACT SCORE AT THE TIME OF THE CONNECTION LOSS.) Effective 9/17/10
Game Results - The winning team MUST TWEET the final score of each game.
Cheating - Team owners that are suspected or accused of using glitch plays or codes, will be booted pending league investigation.
